Golden Hour at The Patch


There’s just something magical about golden hour in the country. When I met up with the Barney couple at The Patch in Walkertown, North Carolina, the sun was dipping low, painting the sky in warm tones that made everything glow. Add in their sweet country truck and the undeniable spark between them, and it was one of those sessions that just felt like a little slice of home.

Your Country Love

The Barneys are young and so in love—it shows in the way they look at each other, laugh together, and never stop smiling when they’re close. Their vibe was effortless: relaxed, playful, and true to themselves. From cozy moments leaning on the truck bed to running through rows at The Patch, every photo radiated that “country young love” feeling.

Why The Patch is the Perfect Backdrop

The Patch itself was the perfect backdrop. The open fields, rustic charm, the swing, and the way the light hit just right made the whole evening feel like a dream. This spot is quickly becoming one of my favorite places for couple’s sessions—it has a down-to-earth feel that lets couples like the Barneys just be themselves while I capture their story.
